THE CONCORDAT

Global Silence Series — Book One

A political dystopian thriller novel

In the near future, war is officially “banned”. Peace, however, is administered by an invisible authority — and by an algorithm that rewrites truth.

The book

THE CONCORDAT is a political dystopian thriller set in the near future, where information control, engineered consent, and systemic surveillance become the ultimate instruments of power.

A secret organisation rules the world from the shadows, promising absolute stability. But when “peace” is maintained through silent executions, propaganda, censorship, and truth rewritten by an algorithm, doubt itself becomes a threat.

“In a world where everything is permitted, the real crime is to remember.”

Synopsis

In the near future, war has been officially outlawed. Twelve global powers have created the Concordato, a secret organisation meant to eliminate every form of conflict… or so it claims. Behind the promise of global peace lies a system of total surveillance: stability enforced through silent executions, media manipulation, preventive censorship, and a truth rewritten by an algorithm called Silence.

Ámina Rauf, a “Keeper of Peace”, discovers that the utopia is built on the blood of the forgotten. Marco Santoro, a disillusioned journalist, decides to expose the system after a devastating loss. In the dark, a clandestine network grows — determined to rewrite history against propaganda, omissions, and official truths.

Excerpts

Here is a taste of the novel and its themes: information control, power, and rewritten truth (with direct links to the PDF pages).

Chapter 1 — The Sanitisation

A port city. A siren that is not an alarm. Drones, automatic blackouts, and “reassuring bulletins”. Marco Santoro witnesses something that will never appear in the official reports.

Global scenario — Russia / Ukraine

Under the Concordat’s new world order, the Russia–Ukraine conflict never truly ends: it is transformed. When Volkov realises he is under attack through indirect operations, economic pressure, and intelligence work, one thing becomes clear: war is no longer fought on the ground, but inside systems — information, markets, and intelligence.

The series "Global Silence"

The Global Silence series explores the political, social, and moral consequences of a global system built on preventive censorship, enforced consent, and the systematic rewriting of truth through propaganda and algorithms.

Book One — THE CONCORDAT introduces the architecture of the new order and the protagonists who, from opposite sides, begin to see the cracks in “perfect peace” — and in the instruments that enforce it.

The author (and the pen name)

Thomas Anderson is the pen name chosen for this work. It is a deliberate, symbolic choice, linked to a personal and cultural journey that has shaped the author’s view of society — and the way it can be told.

THE CONCORDAT is born from a reflection on the present more than an idea of the future. Its themes — control, consent, collective silence, and individual responsibility — do not aim to depict a distant world, but to observe and rework mechanisms that already exist, often accepted without being questioned.

The pen name chosen for this work is neither a narrative reference nor a nod to specific individuals or works. It is an identity marker, deliberately kept separate from the author’s personal identity.
